Cowal Open Studios Weekend Trail

We are a network of artists and makers living in Cowal which, over the last 16 years, has grown  to reach record numbers of 57 in 2025 and is now, probably, the largest public facing Arts group on the west coast of Scotland with members enthusiastically taking part in a number of exhibitions in Cowal and beyond, exclusively for COS members.

The exhibitions and other selling opportunities are organised by the management committee which this year numbers 11 volunteer members forming a cohesive and  broad interest based group looking after the interests of COS and its members.

Our flagship exhibition each year is the ever popular Cowal Open Studios Weekend which this year runs from September 25^th – 28^th  during which all our members exhibit their work either in their studios or in joint venues over the peninsula. This is supported by a strong PR, social media and advertising  programme.

Our additional exhibition programme this year is being developed by the committee with an assured major exhibition of our work in Dunoon Burgh Hall from  5^th Sept to 10^th October and arrangements for other opportunities being worked on.
