Beyond Dunoon: Art from Wider Cowal

We are delighted to announce an exhibition of the diverse and intriguing work of Cowal Open Studios artists who live and work in the parts of the Cowal Peninsula beyond Dunoon and its environs.

It is no surprise to anyone that the extraordinary beauty of this peninsula, which we are privileged to enjoy, attracts and inspires creative people to take up their tools and interpret what they see and feel in their chosen medium. Many of these artists live beyond Dunoon in and around Tighnabruaich and Strachur, and we present their work for those who may not have experienced it before.

From Marie Briggs’ tranquil and beautiful land and seascapes to Monya Wren’s mischievous wildlife creatures; from Janna Maxfield’s intriguing and moody scenes to Frances Cox’s large, energetic works; from Laura Herrington’s explosions of colour and movement to Angela Scrivins’ dreamlike pieces, through Robin Webster’s graphic watercolours of local landmarks and Gabor Horvath’s majestic and meticulous collage canvases, there is something here for everyone.
