Portrait Class

A calm, friendly portrait‑drawing class with a maximum of four students. Booking is essential. You’ll learn the essentials of portrait drawing using carefully chosen reference images, exploring facial structure, proportions, expression, and light and shadow. Each session includes simple techniques to help you really see your subject.

You’ll receive gentle guidance and plenty of encouragement — ideal for beginners, improvers, or anyone returning to art after a break. All materials are provided, and you’re welcome to bring your favourites.

This is a relaxed, supportive space to grow your skills and enjoy making portraits that feel expressive and true to you.

Classes run on the following days and times. Sessions will go ahead depending on the number of people booked. Each class has 4 spaces to keep the group relaxed and focused.

Tuesday

• 9:30 am – 11:30 am
• 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm
• 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Thursday

• 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm
• 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Saturday

• 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Holidays & Breaks

I will always let students know in advance if I have any holidays or planned breaks coming up. Class dates will be updated on my website and social media so everyone has plenty of notice.

Parking & Travel Information

There is no parking available on our driveway. However, Glenmorag Car Park is just a 4‑minute walk away (0.2 miles). For anyone who cannot manage the walk, there is limited on‑street parking available on Crochan Road.

There is also a gate at the bottom of our garden on the left‑hand side of Crochan Road, which you are welcome to use to walk up to the house.
