An outdoor exhibition celebrating the cultural and natural heritage of West Bay.

Along 1,000 metres of the West Bay esplanade is a shingle beach teaming with wildlife and lots of things to see and do. You can take a dip in the Clyde, have a coffee at the cafe, stay in a hotel, play a round of miniature golf, take the kids to the play park, nip to the loo, enjoy a leisurely walk or cycle, look out for oystercatchers, crabs and wildflowers, and take in the spectacular views down the Firth of Clyde to the Isles of Bute and Arran.

While there are plenty of positives, we all know there’s still room for improvement.

Over two weeks in June, Dunoon Community Development Trust will be leading a wide-ranging consultation about West Bay. We want to identify the small and big changes that could take place to make the Bay an even better place for our community.

With the support of local creative practitioners from POP shop enterprises CIC and Dunoon Community Council a temporary exhibition will be installed to provide information about West Bay’s rich cultural and natural heritage. The exhibition is part of a series of events and activities taking place over the next 18-months that will inform the development of a Local Place Plan for Dunoon.
