Join the SCO Wind Soloists on a musical cruise to shores far and wide.

The SCO Wind Soloists visit Dunoon with a Summer Serenade that showcases musical shores far and wide. Setting sail with Ruth Gipps’ warmly evocative Seascape, visiting the Middle East with André Caplet’s Persian Suite and giving a reminder of home in the Trio by Kevin McCrae (a former SCO cellist), the concert ends in the States with Arthur Bird’s joyous Serenade, a true gem of the wind music repertoire.

After setting across the Channel with Gipps’ warmly evocative Seascape, Gallic wit awaits us in the form of Françaix’s delicious Quartet. There’s a touch of Middle Eastern exoticism from Caplet’s Persian Suite and a reminder of home in the Trio by Kevin McCrae (a former SCO cellist) before we land on the eastern shore of the States for Bird’s joyous Serenade, a true gem of the wind music repertoire.

Kindly supported by Eriadne & George Mackintosh and Claire & Anthony Tait.
